God Squad is a time-honored program at Pacific Beach Community Church. It is designed for children 1st through 6th grades and runs October - November in the fall and February - March in the early part of the year. This program has been going on about 50 years. It has become a Wednesday tradtion that the children as well as the workers thoroughly enjoy! Right after school, the kids come running over to the church, get their nametags on and then are served cookies and milk. Following that is a great time of singing, hearing a Bible story and emphasizing good behavior at home, school and play. They also learn verses, play a variety of games and get lots of prizes! Dismissal is at 5:10pm. The children are also treated to a fun party at the end of each 2 month session. Feedback over the years certainly bears out the positive influence God Squad has been on hundreds of children passing through. It truly has been a fun, safe activity for the kids around the beach. |
